Job summary

NTB / Mavis Tires & Brakes, located in Gloucester, VA, is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics / Certified Safety Inspectors to join our service centers. You will perform state inspections and undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and tires, while maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced shop.

You will receive a guaranteed base hourly rate plus weekly bonuses and a $10 commission for every state inspection performed, with additional incentive pay based on overall service work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Possess a valid Virginia driver’s license
• Hold a valid Virginia Motor Vehicle Safety Inspector license
• At least 1 year of automotive mechanic experience or completion of an approved training program

Responsibilities

• Perform state-m mandated vehicle inspections and undercar repairs (e.g., brakes, struts, shocks) and routine maintenance (oil changes, fluids, tires)
• Dismount/mount/balance tires and ensure quality service while meeting promised delivery times
