Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers, stay updated with new automotive technologies, and mentor teammates.

A strong customer focus and teamwork are essential. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
Section 609 Certification preferred.
State Inspection license, if applicable.
Valid driver's license required.
Pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair to specifications for brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension, alignment, and maintenance services.
Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and co-workers.
Learn new automotive technologies through formal training.
Assist teammates and keep the shop organized and safe.
Adhere to company policies and safety/environmental rules.
