Job summary

Pep Boys Careers is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers and stay updated with evolving automotive technology.

You will train and mentor teammates, maintain a clean, safe shop, and follow all policies and safety rules. Availability for varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months automotive problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 certification preferred.
• State inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, electrical, cooling, suspension, and alignments.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and coworkers.
• Continuously learn new automotive tech and safety practices.
• Mentor teammates and keep a clean, organized shop.
• Adhere to company policies and environmental rules.
