Job summary

Transdev North America in Milwaukee, WI is seeking experienced A‑Level and B‑Level Automotive Mechanics to support our fleet of gas‑powered shuttle vehicles used in paratransit operations. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining these vehicles to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity.

The position offers hourly pay with benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid vacation, sick time, and holiday pay. Shifts on 1st and 2nd are available.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of automotive repair experience; 5+ years for A-Level.
  • ASE certifications in Brakes, Suspension, and Steering required.
  • Completion of ASE certification program within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repairs on gasoline engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Complete preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual inspections.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on gasoline engines, including overhauling components.
  • Provide guidance to junior technicians and assist in skill development.
  • Other duties as required.

Transdev in Milwaukee, WI is seeking experienced A‑Level and B‑Level Automotive Mechanics to support our fleet of gas‑powered shuttle vehicles used in paratransit operations. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining these vehicles to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity.

Benefits
  • A‑Level Mechanic: $27.25 / hour – $34.00 / hour (depending on experience and ASE certifications)
  • B‑Level Mechanic: $24.50 / hour – $30.50 / hour (depending on experience and ASE certifications)

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on gasoline engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Complete preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on gasoline engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience required; 5+ years for A‑Level Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications in Brakes, Suspension, and Steering required; additional certifications available for hourly pay bonus.
  • Completion of ASE certification program within 6 months of hire.
  • Mechanic’s tool set provided; yearly tool reimbursement available.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical exam if applicable.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
  • Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings.
