Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service in Clintonville, WI is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform a variety of auto and light-truck services. You will handle oil changes, tire maintenance, brake work and related tasks, aiming to keep customer vehicles safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• Commercial Tire knowledge is preferred.
• Passenger automotive knowledge/experience is required.
• Proficient with basic hand tools, tire tools, alignment machines and air wrench.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical services including oil changes, tire work and brake/shock replacements.
• Maintain and replace tires to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Care for tools and equipment to keep them functional.
• Troubleshoot customer needs and inspect for additional repairs.
• Keep the work area clean and safe; assist manager with tasks.

What You'll Do:

• Perform a variety of mechanical services, including oil changes, tire alignments, brake and shock replacements, and more
• Maintain and replace tires as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance
• Care for and maintain tools and equipment to ensure their proper function
• Troubleshoot customer needs and inspect vehicles for any additional maintenance or repair issues
• Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient environment
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager to support operations

What You Need:

• Commercial Tire knowledge preferred
• Passenger automotive knowledge/experience required
• Ability to use basic hand tools, tire tools, alignment machines, air wrench and other essential tools
• Ability to lift, push, carry, and/or move a maximum of 100 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and reach without difficulty. Frequent kneeling and bending over the back
