Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings is seeking a hands-on Materials Supervisor in Lake Orion, Michigan, to lead daily inventory and material movement in a high-volume warehouse. The role focuses on pick/pack, sequencing, and ensuring customer production requirements are met safely and efficiently.

You will supervise hourly teams, drive inventory accuracy, and coordinate inbound/outbound movements to support GM operations, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership in warehousing, logistics, materials management, or related operations.
• Experience overseeing inventory, material flow, or warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, sequencing, and material handling processes.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; automotive operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily material handling, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
• Ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
• Lead a team of hourly associates for receiving, storage, sequencing, picking, packing, and material movement.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process compliance.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound material movement to meet customer requirements.
• Track KPIs related to inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety.
