Job summary

Group 1 Honda Owings Mills, part of Group 1 Automotive, is expanding its service team and seeking experienced Automotive Master Technicians to join our growing shop.

We offer up to $50 per hour and a sign-on bonus up to $2,500, based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits and career growth opportunities are available at this leading automotive retailer.

Qualifications

• Master Technician or A-level required.
• Honda Certification is a plus but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certification(s) in brakes/electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology.
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.

• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service skills

Compensation: The pay reasonably expected for this position is $30.00 - $50.00 per hour depending on experience/qualifications.
