Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, seeks an Auto Maintenance Tech I to perform repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles in Indiana. You will gain hands-on experience, complete oil/filter changes, battery tests, brake and suspension work, and assist with diagnostics while following safety standards.

The role requires 1+ years of related work, ability to drive various vehicle types, and a valid license. ASE certifications are preferred; Cox offers growth and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
• Perform auto maintenance tasks including oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flush, spark plugs and vehicle inspections.
• Perform battery testing, maintenance and replacement; test and repair starting and charging electrical systems.
• Carry out repairs including tires, safety inspections, and interior/exterior components.
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems.
• Evacuate and recharge AC systems.
• Maintain equipment.
• Use approved vendors to obtain parts.
• May up-fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
• Comply with procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and waste.
