Job summary

Cox Automotive - Manheim location in New Jersey is hiring an Auto Maintenance Tech I to perform light auto maintenance and repairs. You’ll work on a variety of vehicles, handle oil changes, tune-ups, and basic diagnostics while learning from a supportive team.

This is an on-site role with a clear path to growth through Cox Auto University. The position requires 1+ year of related experience, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to work in a hands-on shop environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related work experience in auto maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to safely operate standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; ASE certifications considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes and routine inspections.
• Test batteries, perform maintenance and replace components of starting/charging systems.
• Carry out tire work, brake service, and suspension/steering inspections as needed.
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering, suspension and AC systems.
• Maintain equipment and use approved vendors for parts.
• Assist with vehicle upfit and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
