Job summary

Springdale Ford Lewis Automotive Group in Springdale, AR is seeking a Lube Technician to join the Service Department. You will perform routine maintenance, oil changes, and light services in a professional dealership environment.

This role provides hands-on training, a path for advancement into Apprentice and Certified Technician positions, and a supportive team in a family-owned dealership serving Northwest Arkansas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes using manufacturer procedures.
• Check and top off vehicle fluids and inspect vehicle condition.
• Rotate tires and verify proper tire pressure.
• Complete multi-point inspections and document findings.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist service advisors.

Job Description

As a Lube Technician, you'll be an essential part of our Service Department, performing routine maintenance that keeps our customers' vehicles running safely and efficiently. You'll work alongside experienced technicians while developing your skills in a professional dealership environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform oil and filter changes using manufacturer-recommended procedures.
• Check, inspect, and top off vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
• Perform tire rotations, inspect tire condition, and verify proper tire pressure.
• Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs such as worn belts, hoses, filters, fluid leaks, and other potential concerns.
• Replace air filters, cabin filters, windshield wiper blades, light bulbs, and perform other light maintenance services.
• Accurately document services performed and complete repair orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate inspection findings to Service Advisors so customers receive accurate maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all dealership and OSHA safety standards.
• Properly handle and dispose of used oil, filters, and other automotive materials.
• Maintain dealership tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and outstanding customer satisfaction.
• Deliver every vehicle back to the customer in clean, professional condition.

Qualifications

We're looking for hardworking individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Previous experience is helpful-but we're happy to train motivated candidates who want to build a career in automotive service.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in automotive repair.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate dealership equipment and vehicles.
• Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying shop temperatures and around automotive equipment safely.
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Lube Technician, Express Technician, Tire Technician, or Automotive Service Technician.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Experience performing oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, or other preventative maintenance services.
