Job summary

Springdale Ford is seeking a motivated Lube Technician to join their Service Department. You’ll perform routine maintenance, oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations while learning from experienced technicians in a dealership setting.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and customer service. Training is available, with opportunities to advance into Apprentice and Certified Technician roles within the Lewis Automotive Group.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes using manufacturer-recommended procedures.
  • Check, inspect, and top off vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
  • Perform tire rotations, inspect tire condition, and verify proper tire pressure.
  • Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs such as worn belts, hoses, filters, and leaks.
  • Replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, bulbs, and other light maintenance tasks.
  • Document services performed and complete repair orders promptly.
  • Communicate inspection findings to Service Advisors for accurate maintenance recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per safety standards.
  • Handle and dispose of used oil, filters, and other materials properly.
  • Maintain dealership tools and equipment in good condition.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and technicians for efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver vehicles back to customers in clean, professional condition.
