Job summary

Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Kirkland in Kirkland, WA is seeking an entry-level Light Maintenance Technician who is motivated and mechanically inclined to join our dealership service team. This role offers hands-on training and the chance to grow into a professional automotive technician through real-world learning.

You will perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, multi-point inspections, and light-duty repairs while learning our processes and standards in a busy dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Automotive trade school training or similar hands‑on mechanical experience
• A strong interest in building a career as a professional automotive technician
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and shop safety
• A desire to participate in manufacturer ongoing training
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• A positive attitude and team‑first mindset

Responsibilities

• Performing oil and filter changes
• Completing tire rotations and tire-pressure inspections
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing thorough multi-point vehicle inspections
• Performing straight forward Parts Remove and replace
• Perform flashes and updates to onboard controllers
• Identifying maintenance and safety concerns
• Assisting with basic vehicle care and light-duty repairs
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Learning dealership processes and manufacturer repair standards

What You’ll Do

Compensation $20.00-$25.00 per hour DOE

• Paid Time Off (PTO): All new employees earn 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked in compliance with the applicable state paid sick leave law. Following 36 months of continuous service, full-time employees earn an additional 40 hours of PTO each anniversary year; following 120 months of continuous service, full-time employees earn 80 hours of PTO each anniversary year, according to terms of PTO policies.
