Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a License and Title Clerk at River Oaks Hyundai to support our sales teams by processing vehicle registrations. This position offers a potential pay range of $20.00-$22.00 per hour, with medical, dental, vision insurance and 401k, plus paid vacation and sick time.

1–3 years of License & Title experience is preferred; knowledge of CDK/ADP Dealer Service and strong communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years License & Title experience preferred.
• Automotive dealership experience helpful.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Process all vehicles for registration in the state they will be titled.
• Prepare tax and title documents.
• Submit legal transfer work to the DMV.
• Verify funds and lien releases before processing title applications.
• Check applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trades.
• Maintain records of outstanding title work and report status to management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processes all vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
• Bills out all dealer trades and prepares Certificates of Origin.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of month.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• 1-3 years of License & Title experience Preferred
• Automotive Dealership experience
• Knowledge of CDK/ADP Dealer Service system strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law and regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
