Ingevity is seeking an Automotive Senior Technician to support the Lab Supervisor and team in executing testing projects and maintaining laboratory operations. Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical or scientific field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field with 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience in an R&D, product development, or applications laboratory environment is required.
• Equivalent experience, including 8+ years in a related laboratory environment, may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Programming or scripting experience for test automation, instrumentation, or data analysis is required. LabVIEW experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 certified environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive canister tests and support customers and automotive carbon product development.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment for automotive carbon testing.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize lab operations.
• Compile data and results with electronic records of operating conditions and testing results.
• Participate in pilot trial campaigns in the lab and at off-site locations as needed.
