Job summary

Ingevity in North Charleston, SC, is seeking an intermediate-level laboratory professional to support product research and development through wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation. You will perform routine analyses, calibrations, and troubleshoot equipment, contributing to ISO-compliant quality management and data integrity.

A physical science background, 2+ years of lab experience, and strong communication are desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science-based discipline preferred or 4+ years of wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• At least two years’ experience with wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation; knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and chemical hygiene principles.
• Experience with laboratory equipment operation, maintenance, calibration/verification, and troubleshooting.
• Strong computer skills including instrumentation and database software; high standards for data integrity and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analyses to support product research and development using wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation.
• Perform routine analyses to support global manufacturing facilities.
• Calibrate and verify laboratory equipment to ensure uninterrupted analytical capability.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation as needed.
• Support quality management systems and process improvement initiatives.
