Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after high school.
• Education and experience must be in education, business, or auto mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Monitors behavior of inmates for compliance with institutional rules; maintains a safe and secure classroom/lab environment.
• Implements behavior management program for inmates and assists inmates in learning and demonstrating responsible behavior.
• Prepares lesson plans and activities aligned with state education standards for certification in the discussed trades.
• Performs full instructional schedule in classroom and laboratory with hands-on training for inmates.
