Job summary

Cox Automotive, Hayward, CA, is seeking an Inspector Apprentice to join our Vehicle Operations team. You will assist with vehicle intake inspections, document findings, and help ensure accurate condition reporting. This is a day shift, on-site role with hourly pay and potential incentives. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required, along with strong communication skills. Overtime may be required and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience.
• Safe driver’s license required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information and detect damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and complete required documentation.
• Set up system for day-end and perform procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walk-around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of systems and relevant software.
• Support safety programs and perform other duties as assigned.
• Overtime may be required.
