Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician to drive efficiency in automotive manufacturing. You will perform mold changes, machine setups, and startups, troubleshoot processing issues, and ensure IATF 16949 / PPAP compliance while optimizing cycle times and reducing scrap.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of molding set-up experience, high school education, and a commitment to safety. First shift, 8 AM–4 PM, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement in a production

Qualifications

• 3+ years of molding set-up experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 / PPAP compliance is expected or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes, machine setups, startups, and shutdowns for injection molding equipment
• Establish and verify process parameters to meet quality, productivity, and customer requirements
• Troubleshoot molding, material, tooling, and machine-related issues to minimize downtime
• Monitor production performance and make process adjustments to maintain optimal cycle times and quality standards
• Support APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific automotive quality requirements
• Ensure products meet specifications through first-piece inspections and ongoing process verification
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing concerns
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on molding machines and auxiliary equipment
• Document setup data, process changes, downtime events, and corrective actions
• Assist in training operators on standard work instructions, quality requirements, and safe operating procedures
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, efficiency improvements, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
