Yazaki North America in Canton, MI is seeking a Hardware Engineer – Test System Development to join our Testing team. The role focuses on developing and validating automotive hardware and automated test systems, applying C/C++ and Python to create robust test solutions.

You will collaborate with design, validation, and program management to troubleshoot, optimize, and document test workflows, contributing to continuous improvement and cost-effective testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Hands-on hardware testing and software debugging skills.
• Experience with automotive electronics and embedded systems.

Responsabilités

• Support design, development, integration, and validation of automotive hardware and automated test systems.
• Gather and analyze requirements for test systems to meet standards.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate hardware and software for test systems.
• Perform hardware testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware docs.
• Develop software tools and scripts to support test automation and data analysis.
• Document designs and configurations; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to modular, reusable test system designs to reduce costs.
