Job summary

Socket.dev in Tampa, FL is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive tasks, including tire mounting, oil changes and inspections, while delivering excellent customer service.

You will maintain a clean, safe shop, assist fellow technicians, and advise customers on needed services. A valid driver's license and flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Mount and balance tires and perform basic tire repairs.
• Oil changes and basic vehicle inspections.
• Install batteries, headlights and wiper blades.
• Repair flat tires and perform tire maintenance.
• Provide advice on automotive services and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and comply with safety rules.
• Assist other technicians and keep management informed of issues.
