Job summary

A General Service Technician position is open at AAA Club Alliance in Richmond, VA. This role involves hands-on automotive maintenance, tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, inspections, and general repairs in a fast-paced shop environment.

We offer paid training, opportunities to advance to higher technician roles, and a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time schedule typically includes Mon, Fri, Sat shifts with Sundays off, and occasional additional days based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, and install tires.
• Perform maintenance services including oil changes, fluid flush/replacement, belt/hose replacement, battery testing/replacement, and general repairs.
• Conduct visual vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Maintain and clean shop equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Continuously build automotive knowledge and skills for career growth.
• Other duties as assigned.

Automotive General Service Technician – Hiring Now | AAA Club Alliance AAA Club Alliance is actively hiring a General Service Technician to join our team! If you have hands‑on experience with basic automotive maintenance and want to grow your career in a fast‑paced shop, we want to hear from you. At AAA, we provide the training and support to help you build your skills and advance into higher‑level technician roles.

Location: 7009 Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23294 What We Offer: Competitive Pay: $16.37 – $23.02/hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job‑related factors as permitted by law. Schedule: Full‑time, 5 days/week (Mondays, Fridays & Saturdays are often required). Sundays off every week, plus one other day off based on business needs. Training & Growth: Paid training, Paid ASE Certifications & opportunities to advance into higher‑level technician roles.

Your Impact as an Automotive General Service Technician:

• Mount, balance, and install tires.
• Perform maintenance services including oil changes, fluid flush and replacement, belt and hose replacement, battery testing and replacement, and general automotive repairs.
• Conduct visual vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Maintain and clean shop equipment, including emptying and servicing portable fluid drains in accordance with shop guidelines.
• Continuously build automotive knowledge and technical skills to support future career growth.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

• Basic knowledge of automotive systems; familiarity with PC‑based diagnostic tools a plus.
• Prior automotive maintenance or repair experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with the team.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment screenings if offered a position (background, drug, fitness for duty).
