Job summary

Precision Tune Auto Care in Lafayette, LA is seeking a General Automotive Service Technician. This role offers hourly pay with production bonus and provides hands-on training to build your automotive career.

You will perform routine maintenance, tire services, inspections, and basic brake work while following safety procedures in a clean shop environment. Growth into Technician roles is encouraged through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Passion for automotive repair and willingness to learn.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
• Previous automotive experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a great attitude and a desire to build a career.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and routine maintenance services.
• Rotate, repair, and install tires.
• Perform vehicle inspections and recommend maintenance needs.
• Replace brakes and perform basic brake services.
• Perform wheel alignments (training provided if needed).
• Check and top off vehicle fluids.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist experienced technicians with diagnostics and repairs.
• Communicate professionally with teammates and service advisors.
• Follow all company safety and environmental procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday
