Job summary
Don Owen Tire in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Tire/Lube Technician with experience to join our service team. You will mount, balance, and install tires, perform oil changes, fluid services, and routine maintenance while documenting findings and maintaining shop cleanliness.
The ideal candidate has basic automotive knowledge and a valid driver's license; prior automotive maintenance experience is preferred. We offer competitive pay and a full benefits package in a fast-paced, family-friendly shop.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of automotive systems.
- Experience with tire installation and oil changes preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication.
Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, and install tires with precision.
- Perform oil changes, fluid flushes and replacements, belt and hose replacements, battery tests.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and document findings.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment.
- Actively expands automotive knowledge to support career development.
- Perform additional duties to support shop operations and team success.
- Adhere to shop protocols for servicing portable fluid drains.
