Job summary

Don Owen Tire in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Tire/Lube Technician with experience to join our service team. You will mount, balance, and install tires, perform oil changes, fluid services, and routine maintenance while documenting findings and maintaining shop cleanliness.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Mount, balance, and install tires with precision and care.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid flushes and replacements, belt and hose replacements, battery testing and installation, and general automotive repairs.
• Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles and accurately document any findings.
• Maintain
• cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment, including servicing portable fluid drains according to shop protocols.
• Actively expands automotive knowledge and technical skills to support long-term career development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations and team success.

What You'll Bring with You:

• Basic understanding of automotive systems; experience with PC-based diagnostic tools and/or digital inspections are a plus.
• Previous experience in automotive maintenance or repair is preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license is strongly preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
