Pep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family and is hiring General Service Technicians to join Team Mavis in the Lake Beach, IL area. This full‑time role offers paid training, competitive weekly pay, and opportunities for career growth within the nation’s largest automotive service organization.

As a General Service Technician, you will perform essential maintenance and tire services, with responsibilities including tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, fluid checks, and basic inspections.

Formación

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on automotive environment.
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required.
• Paid training is provided.

Responsabilidades

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing flat tire repairs.
• Oil and filter changes; checking and topping off fluids.
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Following established safety and service procedures.
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles.
