Pep Boys, now part of the Mavis Tire family, is hiring General Service Technicians to join Team Mavis at our Chicago, IL centers. We offer paid training, competitive weekly pay, and opportunities to advance within the nation’s largest automotive service organization.

As a General Service Technician you’ll perform essential tire services and maintenance, gain hands-on skills, and work with experienced automotive professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles
