Satyam Venture Engineering Services in Michigan is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer with hands-on ISO 26262 experience to join a long-term program in automotive safety.

You will lead development of functional safety artifacts, coordinate with hardware, software, and validation teams, review HARA and FS requirements, and drive safety processes and supplier interfaces in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive ISO 26262 knowledge and experience delivering major work products of a functional safety program.
• At least 1 year of experience with SOTIF analysis and related artifacts.
• Proven track record in FS analyses to improve safety of systems or products.
• Experience supporting external/third-party FS reviews.
• Ability to articulate safety issues and solutions to all business levels.

Responsabilités

• Lead development of functional safety system requirements and functional decomposition for automotive systems.
• Review and approve HARA, Functional Safety Requirements, Technical Safety Requirements, validation tests.
• Contribute to architecture definition from a functional safety perspective.
• Lead development of FS processes and tools; oversee readiness metrics.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and validation engineers to ensure designs meet safety requirements.
• Define FS concepts for system, hardware, and software per ISO 26262.
• Coordinate FS interfaces between project partners and suppliers.
