Ford Truck Service Technician

Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking skilled Ford Truck Service Technicians to join our team. This position is at a stand-alone truck shop with an extremely high volume. Qualified technicians are in high demand. To retain good service techs, we offer top compensation and a supportive environment. You will diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles while maintaining positive relationships with clients. We value integrity and ethics, and only those who share these values should apply.

Responsibilities

1. Examine and diagnose vehicles
2. Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor
3. Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor
4. Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman
5. Provide labor time estimates to the service advisor
6. Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly
7. Maintain adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
8. Complete documentation for client repairs
9. Assist in mentoring technician trainees
10. Attend company and factory training
11. Stay current with factory technical bulletins
12. Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months of related experience and training
• Authorized to work in the USA
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screening
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
