Job summary

Group 1 Honda Greenbelt, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking Automotive Flat Rate Technicians to join our team. The role demands high-quality repairs, diagnostics, and safe workmanship in a fast-paced shop environment.

Candidates should have 3-4+ years as a technician, a valid license, and a customer-focused attitude. Honda experience is a plus, ASE certs preferred; background/MVR/drug screening will be conducted. Compensation ranges from $25 to $50 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years experience as an Automotive Flat Rate Technician
• Honda experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• ASE certification(s) or certification(s) in brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors
