Job summary

LifeFormations is hiring a full-time Surface Finishing Technician at our Cincinnati location for high-quality animatronic and scenic element fabrication work in theme parks, museums, and immersive experiences worldwide. The ideal candidate will have automotive bodywork experience, a portfolio of surface finishing work, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Proficiency with fiberglass, resins, foam, silicone, and various coatings is a plus.

Qualifications

• Automotive bodywork experience with a portfolio of surface finishing work to support.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, sanding methods, and primer systems for entertainment materials.
• Experience with fiberglass, composites, and various fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• High quality surface finishing and preparation for animatronic figures and scenic elements.
• Learn and apply entertainment industry finishing methods on a project-by-project basis.
• Troubleshoot surface imperfections and achieve flawless finishes.
• Communicate and collaborate with sculptors, painters, and mechanical teams to address finishing challenges.
• Maintain a safe, efficient studio environment.
