Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Surface Finishing Specialist to ensure durable, aesthetically-pleasing finishes on manufactured components. You will apply expertise in industrial spray processes and material prep to meet rigorous standards.

Responsibilities include surface prep, operating spray equipment, monitoring curing, performing quality inspections, and maintaining facilities and materials in a compliant manner.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate industrial coating machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise manual tasks.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to document production data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise surface preparation including masking, cleaning, and racking to ensure proper coating adhesion.
• Operate and calibrate industrial spray guns and powder application systems for consistent finish quality.
• Monitor curing process, verify temperatures and dwell times per specs.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure appearance and thickness requirements.
• Maintain equipment, spray booths, and tooling to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Handle coating materials and hazardous waste per safety/enviro guidelines.
• Interpret work orders and engineering drawings to ensure accurate output.

• Experience with professional spray equipment such as Graco or Titan systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
