Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Product Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, and release of automotive body and exterior systems. The role collaborates with Studio, Program Management, Manufacturing, and STA to drive early development, feasibility, and robust design across the product lifecycle.

The engineer will focus on quality, cost, weight, performance, and manufacturability while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in automotive body/exterior development.
• CAD design and automotive component development experience.
• Experience with Teamcenter, Vismockup, AVBOM/FEDE BOM, and WERS.
• Injection-molded part design experience.
• Validation, durability, testing, DVP, and prototype development experience.
• Ability to support manufacturing/assembly plant implementation and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and release automotive body/exterior components throughout the product lifecycle.
• Meet cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets using Waterfall processes.
• Develop engineering plans and program requirements using GPDS.
• Apply Six Sigma and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
• Support parts implementation and engineering sign-off at assembly plants.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and meet program objectives.
