The role involves CAD modeling in CATIA/Teamcenter, hands-on testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to launch new products. Domestic and international travel may be required; the position is hybrid with four days onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in automotive lighting or related engineering disciplines.
• Proficiency with CATIA or similar CAD tools and Teamcenter.
• Experience with design validation and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate exterior lighting components and systems.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models using CATIA V5, 3DX, or similar software.
• Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of lighting components.
• Support product development activities including feasibility studies, cost analysis, and design reviews.
• Collaborate with purchasing, suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teams to launch new products.
• Review and approve engineering documentation, validation plans, DFMEAs, and technical studies.
• Utilize manufacturing knowledge, including injection molding principles, to improve product design and manufacturability.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support suppliers, testing, and manufacturing operations.
