Job summary

Kenco Logistics seeks an experienced Transportation Account Manager, Automotive Expedite, to oversee a dedicated expedited freight program across the US, Mexico, and Canada. You will source capacity, tender loads, and manage carriers while coordinating with internal teams to monitor performance and cost recovery.

You will act as primary customer contact for program performance, ensuring on-time pickup/delivery and navigating cross-border challenges, with after-hours escalation for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent transportation management work experience.
• 5+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in expedited/premium/emergency freight.
• Strong PC skills and advanced Excel for cost/performance analysis.
• Power BI or similar reporting experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities under time pressure.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment and handle emergency escalations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily premium freight requests, tender loads, and carrier performance.
• Source capacity and manage cross-border shipments (US/Mexico/Canada).
• Maintain budget items such as freight invoices and cost recovery documentation.
• Provide leadership to account team and develop SOPs to ensure continuity.
• Report performance metrics to stakeholders and ensure on-time pickup/delivery targets.
