Expected compensation: 40.00 - 42.00 USD Per Hour

HireArt is helping our client, a leader in automotive technology, find an Automotive Engineering Technician to play a pivotal role in designing, building, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.

In this role, your expertise will help create solutions that drive the next generation of vehicles, from power delivery to autonomous capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Logistics, to ensure everything is built to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  1. Translate high-level designs into fully functional electrical systems for automotive, off-road, and trucking vehicles, ensuring safety and operational standards.
  2. Create complex automotive harnesses based on harness drawings and schematics.
  3. Investigate electrical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and other departments to deliver integrated solutions.
  5. Participate in testing and validation to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
  6. Maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and testing results.
  7. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment while continuously improving system performance.
Requirements
  1. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, especially in trucks, off-road vehicles, or robotics. Experience with ADAS or autonomous systems is a plus.
  2. Proficiency in low-voltage electrical wiring and vehicle modifications.
  3. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and rapid prototyping.
  4. Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. ASE Certification
  2. Experience with medium/heavy trucks and diagnostics.
  3. Knowledge of autonomous vehicle sensors (radar, camera, lidar).
  4. Comfort with Windows and Linux environments.
  5. Fabrication experience.
