Job summary

Aptiv is seeking an Engineering Director to lead multiple engineering teams in delivering automotive products and technologies. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across the product development lifecycle, ensuring engineering excellence, compliance with industry standards, and on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience within the automotive industry.
• 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles.
• Proven track record leading large, multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
• Experience delivering automotive products from concept through production launch.
• Experience working with global teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business goals and product roadmap.
• Lead the development of next-generation automotive products, systems, and technologies.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of industry best practices.
• Support organizational growth through capability development and technology planning.
• Lead and develop managers, technical leaders, and engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee complete product development lifecycle from concept to production launch.
• Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, IATF 16949, and cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to meet requirements and bids.
• Manage budgets, resources, and risk for engineering programs.
