Job summary

BWI GROUP in Brighton, Michigan, is looking for an Embedded Hardware Engineer. This role involves designing and validating electronic hardware systems for advanced braking technologies while working closely with software and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a strong background in embedded hardware design, especially in the automotive sector. The position requires 3–7+ years of experience and a solid understanding of analog and digital circuits.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, preferably in automotive.
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware systems including PCBs and power electronics.
• Create and review schematics, layouts, and BOMs using industry tools.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and validation testing.

Skills

Analog and digital circuit design

Microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, Infineon, NXP)

PCB design and layout principles

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
