Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Vehicle Validation Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to perform vehicle-level testing and validation of automotive systems. You will execute test plans, analyze logs, and work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.

The role emphasizes hands-on validation across ECU functionality, CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostic data, with emphasis on developing test cases and documenting results for release-ready validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive vehicle validation/testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ECU functionality and automotive communications.
• Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute vehicle-level functional, integration, and validation testing.
• Develop and execute test cases based on system and vehicle requirements.
• Validate ECU functionality and vehicle features across operating conditions.
• Perform road, test-track, and laboratory testing as required.
• Analyze CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostic data.
• Troubleshoot vehicle/ECU issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Capture, analyze, and document test results and defects.
• Collaborate with software, systems, controls, and hardware teams.
• Support regression testing after software/calibration releases.
• Validate vehicle features across configurations.
• Support HIL/SIL and vehicle-level correlation activities.
• Create detailed test reports and validation documentation.
