Job summary

Kia is seeking a District Sales Manager to provide dealership consulting and support to improve the sales customer experience and dealership profitability. The DSM will oversee retail performance of Dealers, ensuring adherence to policies, and support advertising and marketing to grow market share.

Travel to dealers is an essential function of the role. The position requires minimum OEM/Automotive experience, strong communication, and the ability to train dealer staff on product knowledge and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of OEM/Automotive retail and wholesale experience.
• Business consulting experience.
• Parts and Service experience helpful.
• Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and cost management.
• Ability to develop a business case and deliver to dealership management teams.
• Ability to lead district-level meetings and deliver meaningful communications.
• Retail dealership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieve Retail and Wholesale objectives monthly and annually.
• Directs all District Sales activities in accordance with standards and programs; consults with dealers to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Consult with dealers to ensure adequate market representation and market share.
• Ensure dealers maintain Kia presence and brand representation in showrooms, inventory, POS, and advertising.
• Recommend and consult with dealers to ensure corrective actions when targets are missed.
• Manage wholesale vehicle inventory and monitor dealer performance.
• Address Customer Care issues tied to sales and delivery processes and assist dealers in resolving concerns.
