Job summary

Montana State University-Northern invites applications for a 10-month faculty position in Automotive/Diesel Technology (ATDI). The role may be tenure track or non-tenure track and will involve teaching automotive/diesel courses, advising students, and collaborating on curriculum and program growth.

Ideal candidates will have strong industry background in electrical/electronics and engines, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Education and experience commensurate with rank.
• Industry experience in electrical/electronics, engines and automotive/diesel systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills demonstrated in team settings.
• Preference for experience with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Teach approximately 24 credit hours of lecture/lab per academic year in automotive disciplines.
• Provide academic and career advising to students.
• Develop curricula, maintain labs, and support program growth.
• Collaborate with industry advisory board to ensure program quality.
• Engage in campus committees and serve as a program ambassador.
