Job summary

CCBC is seeking part-time instructors to teach non-credit diesel, automotive, and electric vehicle mechanics across multiple campus locations (Catonsville or Dundalk).

You will develop curricula, maintain currency through professional development, attend department meetings, and be available to students outside of class. ASE and manufacturer certifications are preferred, with relevant industry experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or training in diesel, automotive, and/or electric vehicle mechanics.
• Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Three years of full-time diesel/auto/EV mechanic work experience required.
• Associates degree with related work experience acceptable.
• ASE and manufacturer certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach non-credit diesel, automotive, and EV mechanics classes.
• Develop curricula as directed.
• Attend department meetings and support students outside of class.

Teaching classes in any or all variations of diesel, automotive and or electric vehicle and or small engine non-credit sections part time.

• Maintain currency in field and relevant licensure/certification through professional development and scholar activities.
• Attend department meetings, participate in college/community service and be available to students outside of class.
• Teaching classes in any or all variations of diesel, automotive, and/or electric vehicle mechanics non-credit sections.

Minimum Requirements

Prior experience teaching/training in diesel, automotive and/or electric vehicle mechanics, preferably at the post-secondary level and three years of full-time diesel, automotive and/or electric vehicle mechanic related work experience. Or Associates Degree and one year of full-time diesel, automotive and/or electric vehicle mechanic related work experience. Relevant ASE and manufacturer certifications preferred.

Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
