Job summary

Morrie’s Auto Group is seeking an automotive technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, and suspension systems. You will test components, road‑test vehicles, and document repair estimates in a fast-growing Midwest dealership.

The role requires a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work Saturdays. Entry-level candidates with basic car knowledge are welcome to apply and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
• Entry-level knowledge of cars highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems in engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and related systems.
• Test to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning properly.
• Road-test vehicles using diagnostic equipment for verification.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Follow a checklist to inspect critical parts of the vehicle.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other components.
• Use power tools to remove bolts quickly.
• Use grinders and lathes to rebuild brakes as needed.
• Utilize hand tools for small parts and assemblies.
• Prepare and write vehicle damage repair estimates.
