Morrie’s Auto Group in Peoria, IL is seeking an automotive technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, and brake systems. You will perform testing, use diagnostic equipment, and drive vehicles for verification.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension and brake systems.
• Test systems and components for proper function.
• Drive vehicles for testing and verification using diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing problems with engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and related systems.
• Testing to ensure systems are secure and functioning correctly.
• Driving the vehicle for test purposes or using diagnostic computers and gauges.
• Maintaining accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing and repairs.
• Following a checklist to inspect critical parts of the vehicle.
• Inspecting hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes and other components.
• Using power tools to remove bolts and rebuild components.
• Writing vehicle damage repair estimates.
