Morrie’s 394 Hyundai is seeking an automotive technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, and brakes. You will test systems and drive vehicles for testing, using diagnostic equipment as needed.

You will maintain accuracy in diagnostics, follow checklists, inspect components, and use various tools to rebuild parts and write repair estimates. Candidates should be able to pass background checks and work flexible hours including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems with the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems
• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes or use diagnostic equipment
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Follow a checklist to examine each critical part of the vehicle
• Watch or inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other potential issues
• Use power tools like pneumatic wrenches to remove bolts
• Use machine tools to rebuild brakes
• Use common hand tools to work on small parts
• Write vehicle damage repair estimates
