Job summary

DriveTime Automotive Group Inc. is seeking an entry-level Reconditioning Center Helper in Fort Worth, TX. You will stock vehicles, move them through the reconditioning process, and detail interiors/exteriors to prep for retail.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and English communication. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and committed to safety in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock vehicles when they arrive from auction.

• Detail vehicles: wash, buff, minor paint touch-ups, vacuum interiors.
• Use cleaning and protective agents to maintain vehicle appearance.
• Inspections and record-keeping of vehicle condition.
• Identify repairs to minimize re-work and delays.
• Maintain safety and prevent injuries in shop.
• Collaborate with Reconditioning Center Management on repairs and quality.

Responsibilities

• Stock vehicles when they arrive from auction.
• Prepare and move vehicles around the Reconditioning Center for distribution to retail.
• Detail vehicles—wash and buff, perform minor paint touch‑ups, vacuum interiors, and clean additional surfaces.
• Use cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles.
• Perform inspections and keep complete, accurate records of the vehicle’s condition.
• Identify and complete repairs effectively the first time to minimize re‑work and delays in production.
• Work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions.
• Work with Reconditioning Center Management to repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and/or overall quality of the vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable DMV record required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Ability to communicate in English to ensure effective performance in a safety‑sensitive/technical environment.
