Valley Ford Inc in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the organization’s financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain regulatory compliance. You will lead the accounting team, develop financial strategies, and provide insights to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Leadership experience managing financial operations and teams.
• Experience in a corporate environment, preferably within the industry.
• Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with accounting software and financial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
• Manage the accounting team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and optimize the organization's financial position.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, including the board and executive team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
