Peter Boulware Toyota is seeking an experienced financial professional to support the financial operations of our Tallahassee and Columbia dealerships. The role offers a clear path to Chief Financial Officer within 12–18 months based on performance and leadership capabilities.

The ideal candidate will oversee accounting, payroll, risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, while guiding managers with detailed analyses and robust reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent experience.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.
• 4–10 years of related experience.
• Honesty, integrity, reliability, and strong work ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Accounting, HR, payroll, risk management, data processing and security, regulatory compliance, and title work.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements per dealership guidelines and manufacturer formats.
• Provide department managers with detailed financial and management reports.
• Review GL detail, investigate unusual entries, and reconcile accounts.
• Ensure compliance with government finance regulations, payroll taxes, sales taxes, and retirement plan records.
• Prepare and process insurance claims and ensure accurate records for CPA review to minimize audits.
• Hire, train, coach, and promote accounting and HR staff.
• Continuously improve data integrity and reporting across the dealership.
• Oversee data processing and fixed asset additions.
• Reconcile vehicle inventory monthly and WIP, sublet, and paint accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, Risk management, Data Processing and Security, Regulatory Compliance and Title work are all areas of responsibility.
• Prepareand analyze monthlyfinancial statements according to dealership guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and time frame.
• Provide department managers with detailed financial and management reports.
• Review the general ledger detail and scheduled accounts. Noteany unusual entries and investigate.
• Prepare monthlyreconciliation of general ledger accounts tooutside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable and floor plan payable.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining of required forms, payroll taxes and deposits, sales tax returns,income taxes, retirement plan records etc.
• Prepares and processes all insurance claims.
• Ensures that all office personnel are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records and analyses and supervises the preparation of all information for the CPA in order to minimize audit or review costs.
• Hire, train, coach and promote all accounting and HR staff.
• Continually striveto improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealership.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Oversee data processing and fixed assetadditions
• Reconcile physical vehicle inventory monthly
• Reconcile WIP, sublet, and paint accounts
• Ensure title work is completed in a timely manner
• Some travel required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalentexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Automotive experience preferred
• Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Honesty, integrity, reliability and good work ethics are required.
