Fairfield Volkswagen in Fairfield, OH is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee the dealership's financial operations and ensure accurate accounting records. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge and leadership of the finance team.

You will manage budgeting, monthly statements, and compliance with tax filings, while implementing robust internal controls and supporting other departments to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Dealertrack or CDK preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Publish monthly financial statements.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Coordinate compliance with tax filings and government reporting.
• Develop accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Provide leadership to the finance team and support other departments.
