Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar position within automotive industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and integrity.
• Dealertrack or CDK experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide leadership to the finance team and support to other departments as needed.
