Job summary

Automotive Search Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller / Office Manager for a family-owned dealership in Williamson County, IL. The role requires ownership of month-end close, strong leadership of the accounting team, and accurate financial reporting to the Dealer Principal.

The position offers a flexible schedule and the possibility to work 1–2 days per week from home, with 3–4 days in‑office as long as results and team management are solid.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Automotive Controller or Dealership Office Manager.
• Strong knowledge of dealership financial statements and month-end close processes.
• Experience leading and developing an automotive accounting team.
• Honest, trustworthy approach and commitment to doing business right.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dealership accounting operations and lead a small office team.
• Own the month-end close process, prepare and submit financial statements to the factory.
• Review and reconcile schedules, accounts, and bank statements.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance.
• Coordinate payroll information with the outside payroll provider.
